MORE DRAGONS!

The second book in our Dragonsdale series is appearing across the world! Dragonsdale: Riding the Storm has now been published in Germany, France, Holland, Finland, Australia and the USA.
The covers are quite interesting and different for each country!
Here are the UK, German and French covers. See what we mean?!!

Dragonsdale and Dragonsdale: Riding the Storm

Dragons Dale

About Dragonsdale

Salamanda Drake is a dragon rider from the Isles of Bresal. As Bresal is hidden from our world by the Veil, an impenetrable curtain of mist, Salamanda needed a translator for her stories! Well, we can reveal that the translators of these two books are THE 2 STEVES!
Dragonsdale is a riding school. However, people in Bresal don’t ride horses – they ride dragons! The stories are based around Cara and Skydancer – her favourite dragon.
In Riding the Storm, new rivalries emerge within the close-knit community of Dragonsdale, leading to heartache and danger as Cara’s loyalty and courage are tested to the utmost.
We hope you enjoy the books!

ON THE ROAD IN:
May

What a busy month! We began the month visiting schools in Spain with Bookbox International – a brilliant bookfair company run by Gary. He took us to: Oak House School and St Paul’s School in Barcelona, then drove us down the coast to Lady Elizabeth School Javea and the British School of Alicante. We had a great time in the schools, despite the rain! (The rain in Spain falls mainly on us!).
Back in the (sunny) UK we had a half day in The Wakeman School and Belvidere School in Shrewsbury. Thanks to Pam for organising a fun day! Then it was a writing workshop in a beautiful stately house in Northants – Holdenby Hall was an amazing building and we had a great set of year 5 boys to work with.

After that it was our annual pilgrimage to Ridgeway School near Plymouth – thanks to Angie and the usual suspects for a great time! We also combined the visit with a visit to West park School and two days at St Cuthbert Mayne School in Torquay. We had a wonderful surprise for us waiting – a fantastic cake in the shape of a dragon made by Chloe Pope and Dylan Whitty. It was chocolately and minty and delicious! BIG thanks to you two talented chefs! Steve S then had an afternoon all alone in Brooke Weston CTC in Corby – thank goodness a whole bunch of year 7 and 8 students kept him company! Many thanks to all who organised visits and looked after us so admirably.

We did manage to find time to spend a couple of days in Wreake Valley College in Leicestershire, where we worked with a talented bunch of writers to produce an anthology of stories – looking forward to seeing the finished book! We also spent a morning at Earlham High school in Norfolk and a fun afternoon with the Eastern Group of the YLG. Many thanks to those who organized our visits and kept us fed and watered!
